Mt. Pleasant Rotary Club

​Jon’s involvement in Rotary started in the fall of 1984 when he applied and was accepted to be a Rotary Exchange Student with the Rotary Club of Midland. He joined Rotary in 1995 to give back to the Club that supported him and support the Club’s efforts locally and internationally. When he moved to a new community, Rotary was a great way to network with other business leaders and to learn about the community.

He has previously served as a Club President of the Rotary Club of Cadillac in 2010-2011 and has served as the District Treasurer, Assistant Governor and other Club and District Positions and Committees. Jon served as District Governor for District 6290 from 2020-2021 leading approximately 2600 Rotarians and 58 clubs. 

He joined the Mt. Pleasant Rotary Club in District 6310 where he served as a Board Member and a District Treasurer.
He is a member of the Paul Harris Society. His passion is working with the youth and has hosted exchange students and his son was a Rotary Exchange Student to Taiwan in 2015-2016. Catlin graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Finance and Northwood University with a M.B.A and has worked in Banking for over 33 years in various capacities and currently resides in Cadillac, Michigan as the Community President and Commercial Lender for Chemical Bank, a division of TCF National Bank. He has been involved and served on leadership positions with the Cadillac Industrial Fund, Cadillac Downtown Fund, Cadillac Area Community Foundation, Cadillac Area Chamber of Commerce, Boy Scout Troop 125 (Jon and his son are both Eagle Scouts), and First Presbyterian Church. He was awarded Outstanding Citizen by the Chamber of Commerce in 2011 and the Rotary Club of Cadillac Excellence Award in 2017.

​Jon and his wife Jenny were married in 1994 and have two wonderful kids, Sarah (married to Derek) and Nick (who was a Rotary exchange student to Taiwan and is married to Ramya).
