Born a country boy, Mike has always been self-employed and growing up on a blueberry farm taught him the importance of Hardwork and daily routines. He always knew that he was a server and always works to give his fellow man a Hand up, not necessarily a handout. He began his service in ministry his dad was a pastor and at a young age he started doing youth work and wound up being a state youth Director in two different states traveling as many as 5000 miles a month and speaking over 30 times. Service requires commitment and a lot of energy!
Mike is currently owner of Precision Glass LLC, an auto, residential and commercial focused business. He also runs a locksmith business that helps with hardware, keying systems and surveillance. Mike was born with a hair lip and cleft palate and at an early age realized he was very different, often ridiculed and bullied but maintained a positive and energetic outlook on life. He is most driven by helping other people with similar emotional issues and somewhat of a life coach and positive influence where some may feel less than or paralyzed by some insufficiency. Mike's greatest high is leaving someone with a smile they did not have when he met them. Also he enjoys the success of others. Joining Rensselaer Rotary Club in 2014 has given him the opportunity to help people wherever there is a need. At this stage in his life he is doing everything he can especially in the area of harelip cleft palate to raise awareness and funds to specifically help with surgeries for children in Mexico and other places. Mike has served as Area Governor, District Service chair, Club President and Club Service Chair. He is a Rotary Benefactor, Bequest Society 2, Paul Harris, a Sustaining member and a member of theInternational Fellowship of Motorcycling Rotarians North America (IFMR-NA). He enjoys riding his motorcycles, camping and grandkids.
